The Power of 10: The Different Types of Rest That Women with ADHD Need

Rest isn't just massages, pedicures and wellness retreats. Rest is an intentional way of living that allows us to take the time we need to decompress and recharge for maintaining overall well-being. For women with ADHD, the importance of rest becomes even more significant. Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith has done fabulous work in the area of rest and coined the idea that there are seven types of rest. I have used those seven types of rest as a foundation for intentional living. Over the past few years I've learned that for me, as a woman with ADHD there are actually ten different types of rest that I need to feel whole and well.
